Why hello there!
I took a mini break from blogging last week since school started back for my kiddos.
Here’s a recap:
My oldest started second grade [in a new building]. The twin’s first few days of homeschool was a success. We did fall themed worksheets, worked on a few letters, numbers and did some fun crafty things.I will say, after being diagnosed with ADHD, I’m in awe at how much better I can function.
Something as simple as sitting down and doing learning activities with my kids used to be extremely difficult. Trust me when I say extremely difficult to just SIT.
Now taking the correct medication [vs. one for anxiety/ depression] and finding things that work for MY brain, I can parent MUCH better.
I’ve found that painting and coloring helps.I try to incorporate daily where I can and involve the kids too.
My oldest loves to color with me.THIS “Minimalist” coloring book from Amazon has been one of our go to’s, but in general we get most of our arts and craft supplies from Dollar Tree.So far this school year is off to a great start.
I’m excited to see how much the kids grow and progress.
Of course, making sure to focus on taking things one day at a time.
