My birthday month and also when I decided to come back to more regular blogging.
There had been a lot going on last month; a mix of good and a mix of bad.
I just felt like I needed to take a step back from blogging. I was a bit burnt out, in pain, stressed but also happy and enjoying life.Weird huh?
Now, I feel a bit ready to get my writing on as summer approaches.I’ve been going on more walks and “mini hikes,” if you will, with my significant other and it’s been really wonderful to get more outdoors.
On the days that I CAN go early morning (usually my kid free days), I try to go for a 20 minute walk before I do anything.
If I’m not working out, I try to do a short yoga or mobility workout just to keep my body moving.
Obviously, I do take the kids out for walks as well but there is just something about getting it done before the day begins; sometimes even before my first cup of coffee.
I actually just found out today that I may or may not have a tear in my right knee, so I’m trying to be more mindful of movements. Makes sense as to why certain lunges and squats just hurt so bad [and almost burn]. I just have to wait to hear back from the results of the MRI.
Until then, I’ll be focusing on exercises to strengthen my lower half. Also walking when I can and plenty of Pilates and yoga are on the menu for me.And of course, no Crossfit. ๐
