Hi. 🙂
It’s been a minute since I’ve really update y’all on what’s been going on in my neck of the woods… so here we go!
Personal: Me?Well I’ve been feeling amazing, especially since the tiny house stay.
I started doing Crossfit a couple of weeks ago on top of hiring my nutrition coach over a month ago. It feels so good to take care of myself and fill my cup. I even found out the local coffee shop was open for dining in, which was awesome news.
Don’t get me wrong, I do have PLENTY of off days. But overall, I’ve been feeling great and it just feels really nice.
Work: After seeing that my [old] main gym was not going to reopen anytime soon… I was crushed.I wasn’t ready to venture out and step out of my comfort zone; I’m super introverted even though I LOVE teaching.
But I decided after the divorce was finalized, I’d step out of my comfort zone for personal growth. I applied a health club near me (they weren’t even hiring) and decided to give it a shot.
Did two demos, blew them away and got hired on the spot after the second demo. Fitness is where I come alive… I know it sounds cliché but it’s true.I officially starting new week with Pilates (barre-inspired) class!
Co-parenting: This area of my life has been going so well.
My kiddos dad and I had a “heart to heart” if you will on how to best co-parent our children. We decided once a week we’d do something as a family; even if it was something small like going for a quick hike or to the zoo.It makes it easier to have a second set of hands but also shows our kids that we can work together well. Now I know this isn’t ideal (or an option) for most divorced couples, but for us it works and I am very grateful that it does.
Kindergarten Full Day Transition:
My oldest is officially transitioning to full day Kindergarten next week! She’s been hybrid schooling since September (with a couple of months of fully remote during the winter) and she is very excited to meet her afternoon friends.
All in all, things have been really good. I’m very happy to be teaching [in person] again and growing within my community.
I’m excited for my oldest to start full day not only for her but it will also give me the chance to homeschool the twins and not feel rushed.
Just taking it one day at a time and enjoying the process.
