Feeling Grounded.

Sometimes you just need your mom and dad.

My parents came to visit this past weekend. I hadn’t seen them since July, but on the days I went my dad was working.

I also had gone to Bear Mountain with my mom and oldest, so didn’t get to interact with him much either. My parents, for those who don’t know live in New York.wp-15994276703442874164885188944594.jpgI had hit a rough patch; school work for my oldest was piling up, the weather began to change (which limits activities), plus a few other personal matters that had clouded my mind.

My anxiety was through the roof and I found that I was having a hard time focusing and making self-care a priority.

Whenever I see my parents, I feel grounded.

I feel at peace and know everything is going to be okay.

I wish they lived closer [and that I didn’t love New Hampshire so much], but I make sure to enjoy the moments that I do have with them.wp-16025994682223732183281000340358.jpgWe went apple picking and enjoyed the fall weather.wp-16025994689214872496239085529589.jpgWe even snagged some apple cider donuts from the Donut Shack.wp-16025101420838118121490514471532.jpgIt was such a nice weekend that was absolutely needed. wp-16025101425967475410260259071660.jpgIt felt almost like a reset… a reset for my mind. There were two other adults there to play with the kiddos allowing me to take it easy.

This week I feel more at ease.

I’m able to take a deep breath and focus on what matters most.wp-16006101520939165200749030439091.jpg

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far.

And in case you need to hear it, remember YOU GOT THIS.
