I feel like a broken record, but I fell off my night time routine, yet again.
Mainly because the kiddos have been going to bed after 8, but now that it’s getting darker earlier, it has made a difference. They are typically now in bed by 7:45pm the latest. In the past few days, I am back on it. I’m still using the same products for skin care that I’ve used in my previous routine.
However, I’ve recently added vitamin C.
I’ve been hearing about using vitamin C in many “routine” videos I’ve watched but never looked into it. After watching an Instagram story from thebirdspapaya (whom I LOVE), she said if you can’t afford a lot of skin care products and can only get one thing, get Vitamin C.
I decided to research some drugstore options and ended up with L’Oreal’s. I noticed my skin has become a little patchy and my skin in general wasn’t looking so great. I wanted to see if it made a difference so I’ll report back.
On occasion, I like to use a face mask but I honestly haven’t found one that I like. My skin isn’t too sensitive but for some reason, most face masks irritate me. I recently found this face mask at Walmart and I am hooked. I love that it exfoliates your skin and I definitely felt my skin feel refreshed and smoother after using it once.
I recently got a new faucet installed in out bathroom.
A pipe underneath the sink burst and the plumber came in temporarily patched it up. He said the piece would cost $70 or I can find a new faucet that comes with the piece for the same price or a bit more.
I found this faucet on sale for only $59.00. It’s the same faucet my mom has and I’ve been obsessed with it. I love that the water pressure isn’t hard and that a ton of water doesn’t come out.
I’ve been using this chore chart for my oldest (I filled it in myself with random pictures online). It’s been really great to build more independence and structure for her. I’ve been doing a lot of plyometrics and really enjoy my workout space. But I wanted to elevate the space and protect the floor from all the jumping.
I ended up getting these Anti -Fatigue floor mats. At first I wasn’t going to get them, but I honestly don’t see myself signing back up for the gym anytime soon.
I was on a Mrs. Meyer’s kick for such a long time that I ended up out of it. Target released a new plant-based line called “Ever Spring.” I decided to try their hand and dish soap in mandarin and ginger.Wow, this scent smells amazing.
The ginger isn’t overpowering and overall the scent is light and refreshing. I’ll definitely be getting it again and I feel like it fits my color scheme better too. 😉
I know August isn’t technically over, but these are some things I’ve been loving over the past few weeks.
Hope y’all have a great day and rest of the week.
