One of my favorite things to watch on YouTube or read blogs on are people’s favorite products. Now I don’t try out new products all the time, but if I see something worth while, I check it out.
I decided to share my favorite products that I use daily and weekly. This blog isn’t sponsored in any way, just an honest opinion on products I love.
This Dry Shampoo is my absolute favorite. I have tried different ones in the past but they have either made my hair even more oily than it already is or cause my thin hair to fall flat (even the volumizing ones). I wash my hair about 3-4 times a week and use dry shampoo even after washing. I honestly fine that it helps my oily hair go a couple of days without a wash.
My go to shampoo and conditioner is the Rosemary & Mint one by Suave. It’s been the best for my oily hair and I get a two pack bundle from Walmart for under $5.00.I received a sample of this CeraVe Eye Repair Cream some time last year from Walmart. I decided to try it out because my dark under eye circles were awful.
Within a couple of days of using it in the morning and before bedtime, I noticed a huge difference.Such a difference in fact that I rarely wear the Benefit Boi-ing Airbrush Concealer (which is amazing by the way). It’s so freeing to know my under eyes look fantastic. I am not a fan of make-up as is, so this product is a staple for me.
As far as washing my face goes, I use the Target version of the Morning Burst cleanser and the St. Ives Apricot scrub. Both work just as good as the brand name and I use the scrub 3-4 times a week, again after my more intense and sweaty workout days.I also put it on my “crows feet” area and the edges of my lips (I’m a big straw drinker which will lead to wrinkles there).
Speaking of make-up, the only “make-up” I wear daily is that lipstick by Revlon in Sassy Mauve. I have a little skin discoloration (just born with it) on my lips and I feel completely naked if I don’t wear it! I will also use the E.L.F mascara on date nights, but otherwise, it’s just lipstick and the CeraVe cream daily for face.
When it comes to soap, I use a basic bar soap; sometimes it’s Jergens, sometimes it’s Ivory. I prefer bar soap over body wash and like a soap that isn’t too fragrant. my go-to lotion is the Target brand Cocoa Butter lotion. It works just as well as the Vaseline brand.
It makes my skin feel smooth and it has helped minimize the appearance of my stretch marks a bit as well.
And that’s IT! I like to keep my product use to a minimum. I do prefer to use more “natural” product, but only when I can get them on sale.I find that when I hydrate, keep my diet as “clean” as can be and exercise, my hair and skin are good enough to go make-up and product free! ❤
